Kareem Ali

Kareem Ali is a 20 year old musician from New York. He has been involved in music since he began playing the trumpet when he was in 4th grade. He has been playing for a little over ten years now. He fell in love with Jazz when his music teacher in 7th grade introduced him to it. A few months later he purchased his first Jazz record; “Kind of Blue” by Miles Davis and fell in love with the record. Kareem started to listen to Miles Davis music during his electric period and was amazed with records such as “Bitches Brew”, “The Man with the Horn”, and “Tutu”. He was inspired and started to produce electronic music infusing Jazz into the music. He has been making electronic music for a little over a year now and loves it. His music was heard by Chi-Town area resident, DJ, and producer Hakim Murphy. And Kareem has a record coming out on his label “Synapsis Records” in the Fall of 2014
